Who cares ? It's just weed. At least 80% of gscu students consume alcohol on a regular basis and a higher percentage probably smoke. This includes the teachers as well. Theres more important things to worry about than trying to embarrass someone who was a respectable individual.

C'mon, there are so many negative posts on this! I think the attention the group is getting is wonderful! It needs the exposure to start breaking up misunderstanding and ignorance; and just from reading some of these comments, ignorance is in abundance. In America, there is a "rape culture", and there is the BDSM culture. They are very different and one does not lead to the other in any way. @Disturbed up there: to equate rape and kink, you have to be very ignorant of both accounts. That isn't an insult, but you may want to see to correcting that ignorance. For starters, rapists are hated and outcast in the BDSM culture just as violently, if not more so, than in any other social group. You also assumed that all types of play are violent. And you ignored how the article stated that trust and responsibility are key tenants of a relationship between a sub and Dom. That trust and the LOVE between the partners is what makes the unique relation work. Without those things, it's nothing. Rape doesn't have those things. So take a step back from your moral judgements and fear based accusations and do a little research before calling other people out on the way they choose to live their lives, ok? :) have a nice day.

Newmahr, S. (2010). Rethinking Kink: Sadomasochism as Serious Leisure. Qualitative Sociology, 33(3), 313-331. doi:10.1007/s11133-010-9158-9

Williams, D. (2006). Different (painful!) strokes for different folks: a general overview of sexual sadomasochism (SM) and its diversity. Sexual Addiction & Compulsivity, 13(4), 333-346.

I would offer more articles, but my computer crashed that I kept most of my articles on; as an educator in this community I try and keep such resources at hand. Also, here are a few books that may interest you:
SM101
Screw the Roses, Send me the Thorns
Different Loving (this one reads more like a text books and is quire extensive)

I do appreciate that someone has taken the time to think critically about this; it's refreshing to have people not assume.
