There are many dangers in the stands at baseball and softball games. A batter takes a vicious cut at the pitch, fouls it off, and a fan is nailed by the ball. But most publicized instances are at Major League Baseball games, where 90-plus miles an hour pitches rocket off a slugger’s bat.
