Real Guys. Real Style. The Men of Georgia College

THE HIPSTER:

Jack Webber

Major: Rhetoric, Senior

1. Tell me about your look…why do you dress the way you do?

“I can dress myself.  I like being me, having my own style in a sense, but I am not going to lie and say that I am completely unique. The people I hang out with influence me, but I dress the way I do as a way to express myself. I like to stay casual and comfortable.  It depends on the day really, but the theme: comfortable.”

2. If you had to give it a name, what would you call your look?

“If I had to call it something, I guess trendy: the jean shorts, v-necks, high top Nikes. It is trendy, but rough around the edges.”

3. What do you like about your look?

“It’s me. It encompasses me right now. I’m making decisions for myself and at the end of the day, I am expressing myself the way I want to. I am in a season where I want to be rougher, edgier.  What I like is that I don’t think about it too much…I just kind of do it.”

4. Where do you like to shop?

“Everywhere really. I like thrift stores because it’s cheap, but I also love Express.”

5.  Do you have a fashion inspiration?

“I don’t have a specific inspiration. When something looks cool, I try it out and see if it works for me. I like to browse and try new things…Oh gosh, wait. I’ve got one: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

6.  Is fashion or style important to you?

“Not really even though fashion has always been a part of me—clothes are awesome. But fashion is something I really like to play with.  It’s a great way to express yourself and identify with people. I love fashion, but I would not say it is something dear to me.”

7. Do you have a favorite piece of clothing?

“The shirt I am wearing now. And this orange skully hat my grandfather gave me. Everything I own is my favorite.”

THE ARTIST:

Sean Corbett, 19

1. Tell me about your look…why do you dress the way you do?

2. If you had to give it a name, what would you call your look?

“Artsy. You know, the ‘Man-Pris’ and TOMS.”

3. What do you like about your look?

4. Where do you like to shop?

“PacSun and Target.”

5.  Do you have a fashion inspiration?

“I don’t have one inspiration.  If I see something on someone who pulls it off nicely, I am inspired to try that look too…if I can pull it off.”
