Constitution Week!
Last Week was Constitution Week and our lovely Public Relations people went out and heard from the people. We had people write suggestions for The Colonnade and things they wanted to see in the paper. Leave your suggestions or story ideas for us below! We love all feedback, positive or negative! Here they are:
Suggestions For the Colonnade:
Better Outreach: I never hear about the Colonnade. (pass out in SAGA)
Publish more than once a week.
Have a religion section to announce church events and what is going on. (Churches could send press releases or info and a writer could cover it.)
Change the header like how they do on Google to reflect what is going on around campus. (integrate icon’s of events into the colonnade headline like the AJC comics day)
People love seeing their name in the paper, it encourages them to read it!
GCSU swim cats! Or other club sports should be announced.
Health and Beauty Section (exercises, make-up, hair)
List of new albums and artists.
Notification of important topics via email (sent out campus wide)
I love what you are doing!- keep informing
I like Public Safety Reports and the litter box.
Comic section
How to… section (like random how to do things in a column)
Story Suggestions/Complaints:
You should do something about “Dog Sees God” – Nic Marrone is Awsome!
Don’t change the name. The logo is ok to change, if you want people to remember this school, then you can’t change the name every ten years. Our informed names are GCSU & Georgia College. Don’t change them formally.
We need more parking, Not a rec center.
The new wellness depot is being built on top of a parking lot on West Campus. We are already short on parking there and now it is going to be worse.
Girls outnumber guys at this school, but every time I try to catch a ride on a SNAP golf cart at night, there are always guys who are unwilling to be gentlemen and give up their seats for girls. I just think it is rude, and guys wear sneakers/flip flops while girls wear dresses and heels.
I think we should include profiles about the editors, or cover a Wednesday night or something. People seem to be unaware of how much time and effort you guys put in.

Publish more than once a week? Ha!
