Chesterfield cigarettes placed an advertisement in almost every issue of The Colonnade during the early 1950s. On Feb. 26, 1953, an ad stated a medical researcher had determined after 10 months of research that Chesterfield cigarettes had “no adverse effects on the nose, throat and sinuses.”
