Wish List: The classic conundrum quality vs. quantity
Christmas is right around the corner and though many of us are thinking
about what to get other people, for some the main concern is
what we want for the holidays!
When I was a kid my favorite part of the Christmas season was when I
would sit down and write a letter to Santa telling him how good I was that
year and telling him what I wanted. I do the same thing for my parents
now and luckily it’s not contingent anymore on whether I’ve been
naughty or nice.
What does this have to do with fashion you ask? Well, I usually ask for
clothes of course! Many other girls do as well. This is a time when you
ask for those crazy items that you see in the mall on Black Friday.
Instead of wishing for that Victoria’s Secret Santa lingerie ensemble
you would wear only once, ask for something practical.
For Christmas I always say no to asking for trendy pieces. Ask for
items that will last for a long time. These include trench coats, a
little black dress, black dress pants and a classic skirt.
Right now in college we love dressing down, but it’s an awesome idea to
start preparing your wardrobe for the coming years. Being in college
means we are only a few years (or months in the case of seniors) away
from starting our real lives. So start accumulating pieces that are
work appropriate and will really impress your interviewers.
Think: if you do this now you won’t have to waste your first paycheck on “boring”
clothes. You can buy something fun with it!
So have a great holiday season everyone and stay stylish!
