The Necessities for a successful night out

Night out on the town, ready to party and dance. What do you really need in that small clutch to get you through the night?

First necessity is a cell phone. No one wants to find themselves not being able to get in touch with who they are trying to meeting up with. According to freshman Erica Yampierre, ” Keeping a cell phone on you at all times is important when figuring out the details of your night.”

You never know when you are going to find yourself needing to send the “help me” or “let’s leave now” text to one of your friends, wanting to get away from an awkward situation. It’s always safe to know that you can get in touch with whoever you need at any given moment in time.

Have you ever tried getting into a club or restaurant and you just remembered leaving your ID at home? It happens to most of us. An ID is important to carry on you, especially when going downtown, where places like Velvet and Capital check for identification. You never want to be fixed in a situation where all of your friends get into a club and you can’t go in because of lack of an ID. It is also important to have one on you at all times just incase a cop decides to stop you, or even if you decide to drive to a party somewhere.

Starting to get hungry or thirsty after all of that dancing? Money is needed at this point in time. It takes up a small amount of room in that perfect size clutch; you can fold it up or even just slip a credit card into a slot in your purse. If you find yourself having to ask one of your friends to take up the check for you, it won’t be the end of the world, but make sure you are always prepared.

Pucker up and put on that shiny, fabulous lip-gloss to top off the outfit for the night. It adds glamour and excitement to your overall appearance. You might also want to consider keeping a couple of breath mints or gum in a small container, one that will not take up too much room.

You want to keep the inside of your purse as organized and as light as possible.

Want to be fashionable? Find a clutch that matches well with your outfit and style. It doesn’t have to be anything too fancy, just something simple and eclectic. Carrying only the essentials will help you out a ton, especially when it is an annoyance to carry anything in the first place. When you find yourself adding more than you need in that small purse and it starts getting hard to shut, stop yourself and take a few minutes to reorganize. Your night out will be even more enjoyable and successful, knowing you have everything you need.
