SGA Beat Update, February 13
GCSU students will receive a few more days off from classes during Fall semester of 2009. Today, SGA President Ryan Greene and Senator Tyler Ebrite met with GCSU’s academic calendar committee and reached an agreement concerning a proposed Fall Break.
“It will be a big change here on campus,” Ebrite said. “Students have been pushing for this for years and finally making it happen was a difficult process.”
The proposed plans must be approved before the University Senate before it can become finalized and added to the 2009 academic calendar.
SGA estimates that current ticket sales for the upcoming ‘Sister Hazel’ concert are in the 100′s. An actual amount cannot yet be obtained at this time. GCSU students can view the entire week’s homecoming schedule on the newly finished website, homecoming.gcsu.edu.
Advertising for GCSU’s new license plate will begin within the next several weeks. SGA hopes that like the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, GCSU’s own license plate will increase GCSU’s visibility around the southeast.
