Senior Bobcats big part of young program

While a four-member senior class isn’t particularly large for a Division II women’s soccer program, the 2007 seniors for GCSU aren’t your average group. The four, defender  Britni Emerson , forward  Jessica McGinnis, defender  Alex Stover and midfielder  Emily Norris  have helped build this Bobcat soccer program over the past four years with their rookie seasons serving as the first varsity year of GCSU soccer. Head coach  Robert Parr knows the valuable efforts these four have put forth and thinks the rest of the team knows it as well.
“The seniors feel it and so do the players coming in behind them,” Parr said. “It’s been a lot of work to get the program to this point and those four seniors have been a key part in us getting there.”
The Bobcats have a tough 15-match regular season slate that Parr hopes will warrant a third trip to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament and some postseason wins.
