    Advisement and Registration Self-Quiz
Sponsored by: SGA and the Center for Student Success
Are you aware of the advisement and registration process at GCSU? Answer these questions, and see how aware you really are.

1.    Do I have to be a full time student to get the HOPE scholarship at GCSU?

2. What is full time status and what’s the difference between attempted and completed hours?

3.    Why do I have four different grade point averages on my Tranguide?  What is the difference between the current, institution, transfer and overall averages?  Which one is used for entrance into the various cohorts and which is used for graduation requirements?

4.    What happens to my GPA when I retake a course?

5.    What’s an “Advisor Hold” and does every student have one?

6.    My friend told me I have six legislative/non-course requirements that I must satisfy before I graduate.  What are they and how come I’ve never heard of them?

7.    I have no idea who my advisor is.  Why do I need one if I have a four-year degree checklist for my major?

How did you do? Have questions about this quiz? Want the real answers? Come to the Advisement and Registration Forum, a student/faculty forum to address questions and provide information pertaining to the advisement and registration processes.
Hosted by the Center for Student Success in conjunction with the Academic Affairs Committee of SGA, the forum will be held  Thursday, March 1, at 7p.m. in Arts & Sciences room 272.
Snacks and Drinks will be provided!
