Bobcats downed by Lakers 60-44 on Homecoming
The GCSU Bobcats lost 60-44 to 10th ranked
Junior center and GCSU all-time blocks leader Aaron Clark led the team with 12 points and had nine rebounds. Junior Levert Carter led the team with 10 rebounds and senior point guard Shejdie Childs added 11 points and five rebounds.
The first half ended with a bang as junior forward Levert Carter dunked on Laker Todd McLaurin to give GCSU momentum heading into halftime. The Bobcats worked on shutting down 7’1” Lakers center Aristide Sawadogo, who had no points and one block in the first half. He finished with four points and rebounds but altered several GCSU shots. The second half was highly contested at the beginning with points from Clark, senior Shedjie Childs, and sophomore guard Shaun Keaton. The Bobcats led 35-31 14:30 into the half, but the Lakers came back with rebounds and shots by Lakers Brandon Kelley and Jeff Trotter. Once the Lakers took the lead with a free throw to make it 35-36, they never trailed the rest of the game.

“It was a tough loss, but I thought that (the) guys played hard,” Terry Sellers, the head men’s basketball coach, said. “We didn’t shoot the ball very well…We had a poor shooting night.”
The Bobcats host Armstrong Atlantic State University Wednesday night at 7:30 pm in the
