Another one bikes the dust
On Jan. 1, at approximately 7:03 p.m., an individual reported that their bicycle had been stolen from the Smith House area between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on this date. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
The magic of duct tape
On Jan. 2, at approximately 11:46 a.m., Officer English observed a vehicle on Clarke Street with an improper tag which consisted of a piece of duct tape with the date written on it. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver and the passenger. A check through GCIC found that the passenger had warrants through Macon P.D. The warrants were verified and the passenger was arrested and transported to Baldwin Sheriff’s Officer to wait extradition. The driver was released from the scene.
So, they aren’t heavy timers?
On Jan. 2, at approximately 2:54 p.m. an individual reported that two light timers, valued at $12 were stolen from Atkinson Hall. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
Driver backs into another vehicle
On Jan. 4, at approximately 1:29 p.m., an individual reported to Public Safety that as he was backing his vehicle out of a parking space behind Velvet Elvis, his bumper struck the rear bumper and tailgate of a vehicle that was unoccupied at the time. There was moderate damage done to the unoccupied vehicle.
Abandoned vehicle towed from Bobcat Village
On Jan.5, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Sgt. Williams had a vehicle towed that had been sitting in the Bobcat Village parking lot for several months. The driver side window was broken and the interior of the vehicle was flooded. Contact with the owner was unsuccessful.
Don’t play in the street!
On Jan. 7, at approximately 7:59 p.m., Sgt. Williams observed a woman running in the middle of Wayne Street. Contact was made the woman. A check of her I.D. showed that she had two warrants from Milledgeville P.D. The warrants were verified and the woman was arrested and transported to Milledgeville P.D.
