SGA Meeting – Nov. 15, 2006

SGA Senate Session 10 Nov. 15 Officer Reports Hodge- January 13- mandatory senate retreat to prepare senators for upcoming semester Thompson- pending budget of $1,670 Committee Reports: Academic Affairs- Lanier considering ways for students to have better advising. Public Relations- Zaidi last PR table is Thursday, Nov. 16 from 12p.m.-2p.m. New Business: Bill #6 was proposed by Senator Gomez to allocate $300.00 to GCSU’s chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, in order to renovate the Greek benches between Atkinson and Parks Hall. Bill #6 was tabled until Nov. 29 Bill #7 was propsed by Senator Dean to allocate $1000 to GCSU’s chapter of the Choral Ensembles, in order to help cover the expenses of transportation for the Max Noah Singers Tour from Milledgeville, Ga. to Nashville, Tn. Bill #7 was tabled until Nov. 29. Bill #8 was proposed by Senator Simpson to allocate $600 to GCSU Collegiate 4-H Club to help them attend the National Collegiate 4-H Conference in Baton Rouge, La. Bill #8 was tabled until Nov. 29. Announcements: Nov. 28- NAACP is holding a girl talk/guy talk time at 6:30 in MSU Nov. 29- NAACP is having a hot chocolate social to make Christmas cards for Children’s Miracle Network Dec. 9- iMovie Workshop SGA adopting a family through Defax and will donate gifts for Christmas Last senate session for Fall semester is Nov. 29
