The Battle of the Bands
The student band Kaleo won the Battle of the Bands event on Wednesday, April 5. The event, sponsored by the Capus Activity Board (CAB) pitted four student bands from GCSU against one another in a contest to determine the who was the best. The bands were rated by crowd response.
In addition to Kaleo, The Groomsmen, Sound A.D. and Thief on the Right participated in the contest. Each of the groups gave it their all, but in the end, Kaleo emerged victorious.
Daniel Seibel, the saxophone player for Kaleo, was ecstatic that Kaleo won.
“It was sick awesome that we won,” Seibel said. “All these bands were great, and the fact that we beat them makes it all the more special. We love it when people groove along to our music.”
