Selfish arguers are hypocrites, bigots
Dear Editor,
I am growing increasingly intolerant of the homosexual mumbo-jumbo political rampage against the conservative, Christian, backwoods, insert adjective Right.
Selfishly motivated, groups such as The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force that work “to create a world that respects and makes visible the diversity of human expression and identity where all people may fully participate in society” play the political trumpet measure after measure (http://www.thetaskforce.org/aboutus/whatwedo.cfm).
This rhetoric sounds wonderful, particularly to homosexuals who, despite their obvious civil rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” just like every other American in this nation of freedom, feel oppressed.
Yet what does this rhetoric sound like to those individuals who will never “fully participate in society” because they are never given the chance to actually live? That’s right.
How does this rhetoric sound to the aborted? The unborn? Those with no voice whatsoever? Those whose potential voice is drowned out time and again by petty campaigns for civil rights from people who already have all the rights they could need – the right to live.
Since 1973, 47,282,293 human beings have been deprived of the basic right to life. Those 47,282,293 human beings have never gotten to see a sunrise, learn to speak, smile, choose the unnatural lifestyle of homosexuality or the natural one of heterosexuality, learn that Jesus loves them, had a thought to call their own or loved. They simply never got the chance to have a life.
How ironic – those given a chance to live and “fully participate in society” are so selfish that all energies are spent propagating their empty argument of lack of civil rights. If one has life, one has everything possibly needed to enjoy that given life.
But what if one has no life – if one is never given a chance to say “more than anything, I just want to get a chance to live”? If this be the case, then those arguing for civil rights for themselves but ignoring those same rights of the unborn are complete hypocrites and bigots.
Sincerely,
Amy Keith
