Instruments stolen from Porter
Feb. 13, 8:53 a.m.: Four students reported that their instruments had been stolen from lockers in Porter Hall over the weekend. The locks on the lockers had been forced open. Photos and latent prints were taken at the scene. The combined value of all the musical instruments totaled $18,900.
Cars backed into, one reported
Feb. 7, 4:15 p.m.: A student reported that while she was backing out of a parking space on Hancock Street, she backed into a parked vehicle. There was no damage to her car and slight damage to the parked vehicle.
Feb. 8, 4:12 p.m.: A student reported that while her vehicle was parked in the Old Courthouse parking lot, an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle and left the scene. There are no known suspects or witnesses.
Feb 11, 10:58 p.m.: A student reported that while her vehicle was parked in the Centennial parking lot an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle causing a small dent and paint transfer on her left front fender. There are no suspects or witnesses.
Two guys too insistent to Valentines
Feb. 13, 9:21 p.m.: A student reported that her ex-boyfriend approached her outside her apartment at Bobcat Village and caused an argument. She stated that she did not want to have any contact with him. The male was issued a trespass warning from Bobcat Village and told not to make contact with her.
Feb. 13 9:53 p.m.: A student reported that her ex-boyfriend was harassing her and that she did not want to have any contact with him. Contact was made with the male, who showed messages sent to him by the girl stating that she wanted them to get back together. The case is under investigation.
Nap in car gets drinkers jail time
Feb. 12, 1:26 a.m.: Officer Williams was called to the corner of Montgomery and Elbert in reference to a person that was passed out in a vehicle. Contact was made with the driver, who was slurring his speech and had bloodshot eyes. The man stated he had been drinking. A check of the vehicle found open containers and a passenger who was also intoxicated. Both men were arrested. The vehicle was towed.
Cough syrup overdose ended by call to EMS
Feb. 13, 11:19 p.m.: A student reported that another student had consumed an entire bottle of Robitussin and appeared to be confused and was vomiting. EMS was called to check the student for any type of overdose. EMS cleared him and returned him back to his dorm.
