Resident Students, GC&SU needs your help.

“For the past 10 years, GC&SU has hosted the GISA State Basketball Championship at the Centennial Center. This event brings high school teams from all over Georgia and from 3,000-5,000 fans per day to this 3-day tournament.

This year the tournament is Feb. 23, 24 and 25 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and here’s where GC&SU needs your help. If you are parking in the parking lots around the Centennial Center, please, please, please move your car to the Irwin Street lot on Wednesday evening, Feb. 22.

The shuttle system will run special buses to and from the Irwin Street lot on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Public Safety will provide extra patrols to the Irwin Street lot during this time. I know this is an inconvenience, but this tournament generates scholarship dollars for the university as well as being great for recruiting students.

Please show your support for GC&SU during this event and move your vehicle to the Irwin Street lot on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and leave it there through Saturday, Feb. 25. Let’s clear out from Centennial Center and support this worthwhile event.

Please call Public Safety at 445-4400 if you have any questions.”
