SGA Happenings: Sodexho surveys, Gilligan’s Island social, Young Life
This upcoming Monday through Wednesday, students will have the chance to take surveys in Sodexho to assist SGA in gathering the opinions of students concerning the current hours in the cafeteria and the quality of the dining hall.
Kappa Upsilon Chi was allocated $100 for their Gilligan’s Island Social that will benefit the American Red Cross for its assistance with Katrina victims.
Collegiate Music Educator students were allocated $1000 for their trip to their National Conference this spring. They have been having a bake sale to alleviate the costs of the trip.
Young Life, an organization that pairs its members and college leaders with high school students in order to spread the Gospel of Jesus was approved as an RSO Wednesday. The group will be reaching out to the three high schools in the Baldwin County area.
Angel Jackson was sworn in Wednesday as the newest senator in SGA. A sophomore, Angel will be on the student services committee.
The Bookstore Task Force is making progress on the issue of high textbook prices, but it needs your help! It is in the process of revising the draft letter that was given to the task force from Anne Gormly, Vice President and Dean of Faculties. Next week’s meeting will be at 11:00 a.m. in Atkinson Hall room 202.
SGA meetings are on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dogwood Conference Room on the third floor of the Student Activities Center and they are open to the Bobcat community. If you have any ideas or concerns, please feel free to attend the meetings.
