Abstract artist bears gifts
Famed fabric artist Mi-Kyoung Lee donated one of her abstract paintings to the GC&SU Art Department as a token of her appreciation for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by members of the Art Department while helping her prepare her exhibit in Blackbridge Hall.

Santos shakes things up
Hispanic Heritage Month dipped out on Wednesday, Oct. 12 with free salsa lessons held at the Maxwell Student Union Dining Hall. Brazilian native Anisio Santos, a modern foreign language professor, led more than 180 students in basic salsa dance steps and spins.

The word “fencing” invokes the image of swashbuckling heroes duking it out with bad guys on treacherous mountain terrain. However, GC&SU’s Fencing Club isn’t quite what it is in the movies.
Students take a course in Frisbee golf
At GC&SU, a group of friends get together a few times week to play a game of Frisbee golf. It can be played anywhere, allows an unlimited amount of players, can last for an indefinite amount of time and requires only one piece of equipment – a Frisbee disc.
