David Hacker Fischer, the 2005 Pulitzer Prize winner for History, will reflect on his book “Liberty and Freedom: A Visual History of America’s Founding Ideas.”
SECOND ANNUAL COVERDELL SYMPOSIUM
MARCH 21 & 22, 2006
The symposium will focus on diversity and democracy in America with workshop leaders representing schools and businesses throughout the United States.
PUBLIC ARTS IN GEORGIA
SEMINAR
APRIL 27, 2006
A panel celebrating the public arts. A student public art design competition will come to a conclusion with the announcement of three award winners in conjunction with the seminar.
AMERICAN DEMOCRACY
PROJECT
A series of ongoing projects that students may participate in, including Maymester courses in the Czech Republic and Sri Lanka.
The Coverdell Institute was founded on Senator Paul Coverdell’s highly esteemed public service and addresses the Coverdell values of liberty, learning and leadership through public events and policy research. It serves as a resource to academic programs and student affairs.
