A great way to say goodbye…
The 54th Georgia College & State University Honor’s Day Observance on April 22 was a bittersweet goodbye for some of GC&SU’s finest students and faculty. Bradley Hobbs (top) receives the University System of Georgia Academic Recognition Award from President Leland as Vice President Anne Gormly and Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences Beth Rushing look on. Hobbs will graduate summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and has been selected as the Phi Kappa Phi speaker at GC&SU’s spring commencement. Dr. Everett Barman (bottom) addresses the audience after receiving the 2005 Distinguished Professor Award. Barman, a faculty member at GC&SU since 1973, was selected based on his academic, teaching and service achievements, and was given $1,000 and a silver engraved bowl.
