The GC&SU Public Safety Report
* On April 1, at approximately 6:47 p.m., Officer Lance and Sgt. Brooks were dispatched to the MSU Cafeteria in reference to an intoxicated person. Contact was made with the man, a student who was very cooperative. Because of the student’s history of seizures, he was provided a ride back to his home on Allen Memorial Drive.
* On April 2, at approximately 11:02 a.m., Officer G. Williams made contact with a female student at Public Safety in reference to an incident that occurred between her roommate and her roommate’s boyfriend. The student advised that between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. her roommate’s boyfriend pushed her roommate around in Foundation Hall. The RA on duty responded to the scene but did not notify public safety.
Contact was made with the roommate’s boyfriend, who was trespassed from all GC&SU property and was charged with two counts of Simple Battery and Criminal Trespass. There were no reported injuries.
* On April 3, at approximately 7:09 a.m., Officer Sposito responded to a residence on North Elbert Street in reference to an injured person. A man called Public Safety to report that his son, a student, was not answering his phone and he thought that he was having a diabetic incident. Officer Spositor made contact with the student’s roommate who did not have a key to his roommate’s room. Officer Sposito could hear a person struggling to breathe and gained entry to the room by kicking the door in. The student appeared to be in a diabetic coma. EMS was called and transported the student to Oconee Regional Medical Center.
* On March 25, at approximately 3:05 a.m., Officer Dixon observed a man urinating on the sidewalk in downtown Milledgeville. The man was arrested and transported to Milledgeville Police Department and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
* On March 29, at approximately 2 p.m., Officer Williams was dispatched to the dumpster area at Centennial in reference to a person in the dumpster going through the trash. Contact was made with a man who had been notified previously to stay out of the dumpsters. The man was issued a Trespass Warning from the Centennial Center and surrounding area for an indefinite period of time.
