The GC&SU Public Safety Report
* On March 19, at approximately 11:08 p.m., Officer D. Williams was dispatched to Foundation Hall in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officer Williams observed the Pull Station had been activated. While speaking with some of the students, it was learned that a female had pulled the alarm in order to get a female student outside so they could fight. Officer Williams learned that the female who pulled the fire alarm has left several threatening phone messages on the student’s phone because she was dating her ex-boyfriend.
The female called down the hall for her ex-boyfriend, then a few minutes later, pulled the fire alarm.
When the student exited the building, the female who pulled the fire alarm chased her.
Contact was made with the female who pulled the fire alarm who was unable to give a valid reason for pulling the alarm. The female also admitted to driving up to Foundation Hall and a check of her license through GCIC showed that her license was suspended.
Officer Williams advised that he would not arrest her at that time because of having two small children with her, but that he would be seeking warrants on Tuesday. A Trespass Warning was issued to the offending student, permanently banning her from all GC&SU property. This case is active pending warrants.
