The GC&SU Public Safety Report

* On Feb. 17 at approximately 9:30 a..m. a female a student reported that while attempting to park her vehicle in a parking space at Centennial Center, her brakes failed and her vehicle went across the median, striking a parked vehicle. Both vehicles sustained slight damage. There were no injuries.

* On Feb. 17 at approximately 12 a.m., Sgt. Ennis observed an improperly parked vehicle with 2 occupants. The driver’s license was fond to be suspended with no serve date.. The driver was given a Notice of Suspension and a verbal warning or improper parking. The passenger, who had a valid license was allowed to drive from the scene.

* On Feb. 21 at approximately 4 p.m.,a female student reported that while she was leaving the Student Activity Center on Hancock Street, a black vehicle that was equipped with a PA system drove past her and was making rude comments and using profanity. The vehicle drove off and the student was unable to get the tag number of the vehicle.

* On Feb. 17 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Amblin Construction called to report a vehicle that was illegally parked on Centennial drive. The vehicle was blocking an area that was part of the construction site. Work in the area had to be stopped until the vehicle was moved from the area. Contact could not be made with the owner of the vehicle. Old Capitol Wrecker was called and the vehicle was towed from the location.

* On Feb. 22 at approximately 9:30 a.m.,a female student reported that on 2-1-05 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. hours, she had set her coat and phone down on a seat at Centennial Center and an unknown person removed the phone from her jacket. This case is under investigation.
