The GC&SU Public Safety Report

* On Feb. 3 at 2:04 p.m., a GC&SU employee tripped in the lobby of MSU and struck his face on the floor. The man stated his forehead, nose and mouth were hurting. Sgt. Self gave the employee a ride to the emergency room at Oconee Regional Medical Center.

* On Feb. 7 at 12:43 a.m., Officer Tuft was dispatched to Sanford Hall in reference to a female student that was upset. Contact was made with the R.D., who stated a student was upset because she was going to have to change rooms in a couple days. The student had fallen asleep prior to Officer Tuft’s arrival. Not contact was made with the student.

* On Feb. 4 at 12:24 a.m., Officer D. Williams observed a white male in front of Buffington’s on Hancock Street very unsteady on his feet. He observed the male fall into the wall twice and fall into the lamp post once. Officer Williams called the male three times and the male looked up in his direction and kept walking. Contact was made with the student and the officer could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. The student consented to a Field Alco-Sensor Test, which he failed. The student was transported to Milledgeville Police Department and charged with Intoxicated Pedestrian.

* On Feb. 2, at 9:25 p.m., a female student reported that she had let her boyfriend borrow her vehicle on Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. with the understanding that he would return it within an hour. The student does not wish to press charges, she just wants her vehicle returned. A Lookout was placed on the vehicle with Milledgeville Police Department and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. On Feb. 3 at approximately 12:44 a.m., the student called Public Safety to report that her vehicle had been returned.
