Solazo to perform Latin American Music concert

Solazo, a Latin American band presented by Town and Gown Arts, will perform at Georgia College & State University on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. in Russell Auditorium.

Recognized as being one of the most courageous bands today, Solazo is a treasure to Latin American culture.

With a unique blend of Latin contemporary music and soulful ballads, Solazo’s music is appealing to all ages.

The four artists in Solazo are “committed to encouraging the study, development and spread of Latin American arts and culture through music, dance and workshops,” said Randy Cannon of Allied Arts.

Solazo will also give a free lunchtime concert on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 12:15 p.m. in the Black Heritage Plaza next to Allen’s Market Building in downtown Milledgeville.

The Feb. 5 concert is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and free for GC&SU students with an ID. The Feb. 4 concert is free for everyone and open to the public.
