Public Safety Repor
* On Oct. 14, at approximately 7:53 a.m., a man was driving his vehicle on Montgomery Street and had stopped at a crosswalk for two pedestrians and was struck by a vehicle. There was extensive damage to the back vehicle and slight damage to the man’s truck. There were no injuries, but the driver of the back vehicle was issued a citation for No Insurance.
* On Oct. 14, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a female student reported that she was missing her wallet from Sanford Hall. She was not sure if she misplaced the item, or if it was stolen. This case is under investigation.
* On Oct. 16, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Public Safety was dispatched to West Campus Softball Field in reference to an unruly fan. Officer Williams made contact with the man, who had threatened a GC&SU employee and refused to leave when asked to do so. The man said he threatened the GC&SU employee because he was standing in front of his son. The man was told to leave the game and not to return. The man waited for his family inside his vehicle in the parking lot.
* Oct. 21, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Public Safety received an anonymous call regarding a person driving a vehicle with an expired tag and suspended license. The complaint advised the vehicle was leaving the area of Parks Nursing. Officer Dixon caught up with the vehicle and a traffic stop was initiated. Contact was made with the driver and a check through GCIC showed that his license was suspended and that his tag was expired. The man was arrested and placed in a patrol vehicle. A check of the vehicle found five empty beer bottles and one unopened beer bottle under the seat. The man was transported to the Milledgeville Police Department and charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Expired Tag and Open Container.
* On Oct. 22 at approximately 9:39 p.m., Officer Williams was dispatched to Bobcat Village in reference to the security gate at the entrance to the parking lot being damaged. Sgt. Self and Officer Williams checked the parking area, but did not locate any vehicles that appeared to cause the damage. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
