Public Safety Report

* On Sept. 30, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a student reported that her Bobcat ID card had been lost or stolen on Sept. 29. On Sept. 30, a white male attempted to make a purchase at Chick-fil-A with the ID card. The subject fled the scene before Public Safety could arrive on the scene. The ID card was returned to the student. This case is under investigation.

* On Oct. 1, at approximately 2:21 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Parkhurst Hall in reference to a drunk male in the building. On the way to the call, Officer Lance was requested to assist in a traffic stop and it was learned that the male in the traffic stop had been in Parkhurst. Contact was made with the driver and the odor of an alcoholic beverage could be smelled coming from his person. The man was arrested and transported to Milledgeville Police Department and charged with DUI.

* On Oct. 3, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Wells Hall in reference to a student who was shaking and unresponsive. Contact was made with the R.A. on duty, who stated the student had been drinking and suddenly began to shake and lose consciousness. EMS was dispatched and transported the student to Oconee Regional Medical Center. The student was checked and released.
