Public Safety Report

* On Sept. 17, at approximately 2:04 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Wells Hall in reference to a student who was about to pass out. Contact was made with the R.D., who stated the student, a female, had been drinking, the R.D. said, and was unable to stand up on her own. Officer Yates made contact with the student, who was walking and talking normally and insisted she was fine. Yates told the R.D to contact her if there were any more problems and left the building. Five minutes later, Public Safety was dispatched back to Wells Hall because the same student had passed out and was vomiting. EMS was dispatched and examined the student, who refused treatment.

* On Sept. 21, 2004 at approximately 8:03 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Adams Hall in reference to a student who was unconscious. EMS was called and contact was made with the student, who refused treatment.

* On Sept. 23, at approximately 8:23 a.m., Officer Sposito observed a suspicious male walking down Wilkinson Street. Contact was made with the man and a check through GCIC found the man had outstanding warrants through Bibb County. The man was taken into custody and transported to Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office to be held for Bibb County.

* On Sept. 26 at approximately 11:24 p.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Sanford Hall in reference to students smoking from a bong. Contact was made with the student, who stated he was using the bong for tobacco. The bong was taken to Public Safety and the student was warned on the consequences of the possession of a bong.

* On Sept. 26, at approximately 5:58 a.m., Public Safety was dispatched to Terrell Hall in reference to a fire alarm. Contact was made with a female student who stated that she had wrapped her socks around a fishbowl to warm some water. She then stated that she went to the bathroom and when she returned, there was smoke everywhere. Milledgeville Fire department responded and used the exhaust fan to blow the smoke out.

* On Sept. 27, a GC&SU employee reported that an unknown person(s) had written profanity on her office door dry-erase board between Sept. 24 and early Sept. 27. There are no suspects at this time.
