Altmans’ concert proves to be successful
On the night of Sept. 7, a breathtaking harmony of musical talent was performed by the Altmans.
They put on piano and cello duet concert held in Georgia College & State University’s Max Noah Recital Hall.
Recitalists Dr. Ian Altman and his wife, Barbara Altman, played a number of classical pieces, such as Hayden’s “Divertimento” and Chopin’s “Sonata in G minor.” During these two songs, the room was filled with anticiparion and excitement. Although there was a small crowd, the Altmans played with unmistakable finesse that could make even the stingiest music listener enjoy.
“It was an emotional and powerful performance,” said freshman music major Jessica Barlow. The selections made by the Altmans for their performance were written for masters of their particular instruments.
The Altmans are renowned in Georgia for being experts in the classical music genre, and with at the least 40 years of experience between them, tthe display of old chairs from a back room, the beautiful scratched grand piano, the stage was set for an amazing performance.
