Wellness Center
Effective August 21, the Wellness Dept will expand its hours to the following:
Saturday 9 a.m. – Noon
Sunday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m
Monday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.*
Wednesday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.*
Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
*Due to academic use of the weight room, only the cardio area will be available during the 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. time slot on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All students will be required to complete revised orientation forms prior to use of the depot and a validated fall 2004 ID must be presented at the door upon admission.
The Young Democrats
The Young Democrats is a student organization that encourages participatory democracy. We generally meet once a month, but have not yet established a meeting time for the fall 2004 semester. Since it’s an election year, we’ll begin activities ASAP, so contact faculty adviser Veronica Womack at veronica.womack@gcsu.edu or Sandra Godwin at sandra.godwin@gcsu.edu.
Cheerleading

GC&SU Athletics
Anyone interested in walk-on tryouts for any of GC&SU’s athletic teams should contact the team’s head coach or Assistant Athletics Director Brad Muller at 445-1779.
Safe Space
Faculty, staff and administrators interested in the new Safe Space program should attend a training session Thursday, August 26, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. or Monday, August 30, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dean’s Conference Room in A&S. John Sallstrom Blood Drive
GC&SU and the American Red Cross will hold its first bloodrive of the year on Wednesday, August 25 from 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the Maxwell Student Union. Visit info.gcsu.edu/blooddrive to sign up.
Financial Aid
The cross listing of available work for students, C.L.A.W.S, will be accesible at www.gcsu.edu/finaid starting today. This site will include not only federal work study positions, but also college work student positions and off-campus part-time jobs.
