The Tangled Web
I’ve written a lot of articles in my time here at The Colonnnade, but this is by far the most difficult one. It’s hard because it means I have to say goodbye to someone who has profoundly changed my life.
For those that do not know, Dr. Ginger Carter is leaving The Colonnade after being the advisor for seven years. I must say I’m sad to see her leave.
Dr. Carter, called simply Carter by some, has been such a big part of my life since I came to college. I met her through a friend of mine and one of her first statements to me was “you’re going to be a mass comm. major.”
At the time, I didn’t believe it because I was all about computer programming. Little did I know what would actually happen.
The first day of my first programming class, I found her and asked for her help in getting me into the program. So began my career in the media. The rest, as they say, is history.
During the time I’ve known her, Carter has supported me in everything I’ve done, even when I went into television. So I wanted to take this time to say thank you to one of the most important people in my life. If it wasn’t for you Carter, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I dedicate my graduation to you.
