The Georgia College & State University softball team swept Albany State, 18-0 and 17-1, on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference doubleheader to improve to 18-0 in the season. Both games were called in the 5th inning due to the run-rule.

Amy Davenport went 3-4 with a triple, while Heather Jones went 2-3 with a double and a triple to lead GC&SU at the plate. Davenport and Jones combined for 9 of the 18 runs batted in.

Sophomore Brook Harrison (4-0) picked up the win in game two after only allowing one hit and one run with a career high of 11 strikeouts. Offensively, freshman Aundrea Baker and senior Rebecca Heinicka accounted for 9 runs batted in as both players hit a grand slam to propel the Lady Bobcats in the 17-1 victory.
