Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express considerable discontent with the front page article in the Feb. 14, 2003 edition of The Colonnade about the unfortunate resignation of the SGA Vice President.
I don’t, of course, challenge the right of The Colonnade to print the story, but I do not think that much was added to our substantive knowledge of the situation by the amount of detail offered. Much was added; however, to the embarrassment of a fine young man. I will not defend Adam Nisbet’s apparent transgression of the law. I will state, however, that sometimes the official record does not tell the whole story. It certainly does not tell the whole story about Adam Nisbet, a fine, intelligent, thoughtful person who has enormous potential. The faculty and staff of the Government & Sociology Department are glad to have Adam as one our majors, we will be very proud in two years time to have him as one of our graduates, and we will be delighted in a few more years to see him walk the halls of Congress.
Respectfully,
Michael F. Digby
