Bobcat teams have big weekend ahead

The 13th ranked Georgia College & State University Golf team has its fall season in full swing.

The Bobcats wrapped up at the CSU Cougar Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Columbus, Ga. GC&SU Bobcats were one of ten nationally ranked teams in the 13-school field.

This weekend the Bobcat golfers carry their clubs to Clinton, S.C. There, Presbyterian College will host the annual PC Intercollegiate at the Musgrove Mill Golf Club.

The practice round will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6. The teams will play two rounds (36 holes) on Monday, Oct. 7 and one round (18 holes) on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The PC Sports Information Office has not yet released the tournament field.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Bobcat Cross Country teams are off this weekend following a solid performance at the Francis Marion Invitational at Francis Marion University in S.C. last weekend.

GC&SU will host the Bobcat Invitational at the Little Fishing Creek Golf Course on Saturday, Oct.12. The tournament will be the first chance for the Bobcat runners to run their own course. The women will run a 5K, while the men will run an 8K race.
