And your point is

I do not understand all the construction above MSU. We here at “The Colonnade” do not like all the shaking and distasteful smells.

On Sept. 23, there were a few of us in “The Colonnade” office, and all of a sudden there was so much shaking that we all just looked at each other and were like when is this going to stop? It is ridiculous to have constant problems right over your head. All the members of “The
Colonnade” want the construction to stop.

I just do not understand why the construction must happen 24 hours, seven days a week. Don’t misinterpret me, I think Georgia College & State University is right by trying to update this campus and keep the campus looking so beautiful. But what I do not understand is why at all
hours of the day MSU is shaking.

Another problem is the smell. I can’t say what it really smells like, but I think you get the idea. The smell was horrible on Monday and to make matters even worse the smell is always around. I just can’t believe the smell can be that disgusting.

I’m sure there are advantages from the construction, but being in “The Colonnade” everyday, they are hard to see. So please inform us in “The Colonnade.” Last week, Plant Operations worked in the office on Monday and Tuesday and got all their work done in two days, so please hurry up and make the smell go away.

I like GC&SU, but I do not understand why all this construction is happening at one time. Let’s go in order first: there was the library construction, then the residence halls (which are needed), the apartments, followed by the parking problem and now the MSU construction. I know everyone wants GC&SU to look outstanding, and I’m sure it will, but is all of this worth it? I just do not want incoming students to see the campus and not want to be part of GC&SU because
of all the construction.

If someone can give me a good reason as to why all this construction above MSU is a good thing, send an email to “The Colonnade” at colonnade@mail.gcsu.edu.
