And your point is
Reflections mean so much. One year has passed and I still can’t come to the realization that the Twin Towers are no longer standing tall.
I remember when I was a little boy and would get so upset that the Empire State Building was smaller than the Twin Towers. I remember how so many people would tell me that without the Twin Towers, New York City would be seriously missing something from its skyline. But now, the skyline looks empty and for that matter will always be missing the two tallest buildings in New York City.
So many innocent people going to work on 9/11 never got to see their families again. I could not imagine going to work and never telling my mom or dad that I love them and will see them soon. But now with the death of nearly 3000 people, so many families will never be the same again.
I went to New York City in July and just thought to myself that the Twin Towers will never be standing right next to one another. The pain was too much, and then I remember looking at the wall made by families and love ones in memory of their late great American heroes. I still can’t believe that one year has passed, and Sept. 11 is here again.
America showed the world that nobody can stop this nation. True, we can get hurt, but nobody will hold us down. I am truly sorry that 9/11 happened; now the nation is stronger than ever before, and the U.S. can grow together. This nation has pulled together for a year now and has made great strides in getting the Twin Towers and Pentagon cleaned up.
So many people all over the world were affected by what is considered worse than Pearl Harbor.
I still wake up at night thinking what if the Twin Towers were still standing tall. It is so hard to comprehend that there are no Twin Towers.
