SGA officer elections underway

Student Government Association had their 21st session Wednesday. One of the topics discussed was Officer Elections.
The Officer Elections for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17 and 18, on the front steps of Parks Hall. Students will be able to cast their votes throughout both days.
Students running for these four positions have held office in SGA for at least one semester. Next fall, there will be elections for SGA senator positions. To run for a senator, it is not required that students have SGA experience.
All students’ are strongly encouraged to stop by Parks Hall and vote.
“Students votes count, and they need to exercise that power,” Erin Morris, a Freshman Senator and Vice Chair of Internal/External Affairs Committee for SGA, said.
“Student Government Association is very influential in the students’ lives, so it’s important for them to vote for people who they believe will do a good job,” Morris added.
