Spring Break more than just a party

What time is it when college courses get put on the back burner and become second in priority to hot spots that will be attended by students during the long-awaited week of freedom? That’s right it is Spring Break time! Spring Break is a college student’s ultimate dream vacation…an escape from reality… admittedly filled with beaches, endless nights of music, partying, and anything but textbooks! A vacation to places like Acapulco, Bahamas, Cancun, Daytona Beach, Mazatlan, Myrtle Beach, South Padre Island, and many more.
It seems so long ago since Christmas break by this time each year. I am always ready for a break from classes, teachers, and the whole college atmosphere. This week students will either travel to a warm location and party, work full time to earn money, or just go home to relax. Students have contemplated plans for this week since Christmas.
As a senior, Spring Break has become a time to rest instead of party time, however, when I was a freshman I traveled with four other girls to Myrtle Beach for fun in the sun, we didn’t plan on it being cold, but Panama City was a definite out. The main reason to stay away is the fact that everyone from GC&SU migrates there and the point of the break is to get away from the normal everyday atmosphere.
I like the break, but I guess I am biased on going somewhere during this week, because I celebrate St. Patty’s Day, being that is my birthday, and the weekend before. Also, as I have gotten older money is more of an issue, so working is my option, but that is okay. I can always remember, how much fun it was to travel with friends during this week, and come back to tell the stories of adventures at clubs or the opposite sex.
Memories are what we live for, and Spring Break is just one big memory block. I feel that everyone at some point in their life should experience Spring Break at it’s finest.
The atmosphere of Spring Break and that entire week is just phenomenal, and if you had ever experienced it before you understand what I am talking about. For all you, who have never been on a Spring Break, then I suggest you go and enjoy the thrill of a lifetime.
I enjoyed both Savannah on St. Patrick’s Day and the week of Spring Break, both are something so special about being a college student, nobody needs to miss out on it.
