This way to Grim Reality
The Milledgeville Oconee area Emergency Medical Service is sponsoring a ‘Grim Reality’, October 25 from 8p.m to midnight at West Complex.
A ‘Grim Reality,’ lessons from the grave, is a demonstration to show the Milledgeville. as well as Georgia College & State University, community the consequences of destructive decisions.
Kristal Claxton, an EMSC, feels that the horror show will teach students about the consequences that people are forced to deal with when they make drastic decisions.
“What we are trying to do is show people what I see everyday,” Claxton said. “This way, we are able to make our point by putting a human a face to issues of violence.”
A ‘Grim Reality’ is a realistic presentation that shows its viewers visually the violent acts that occur in our community everyday.
“We have an opportunity to make some changes in some young people’s lives,” Claxton said.
In addition to the show, a memorial will be constructed in remembrance to those who have fallen victim to circumstances similar to those presented.
Charlotte Lawrence, an Oconee EMCS, states that the memorial will provide an opportunity to those who have lost a love one.
“We are encouraging everyone to participate with the memorial to show respect for their lost love ones,” Lawrence said.
